IT Support Technician - Level 2
AJD Tech is a small but growing Managed Service Provider (MSP) dedicated to offering responsive, friendly, and quality IT services to small businesses. Following recent success in marketing and sales efforts, we are expanding our team to better serve our clients and position ourselves for future growth.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an ambitious and motivated Level 2 IT Support Technician who thrives in a dynamic, small-business environment. This role is ideal for an early-career professional who is eager to take on responsibility, grow with the company, and contribute to our success by creating scalable processes and delivering exceptional IT support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Support: Provide high-quality Level 2+ IT support to clients, addressing a wide range of technical issues involving hardware, software, and network systems.
- Documentation & SOP Development: Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to streamline operations and create company standards for client documentation and support.
- Client System Management: Audit, document, and standardize client environments to ensure consistency and reliability.
- Problem Solving: Take ownership of issues, thoroughly research solutions, and implement fixes while carefully assessing potential risks.
- Customer Interaction: Build strong relationships with clients through excellent communication, a friendly demeanor, and a sense of urgency when addressing support needs.
Qualifications:
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with common applications like Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Adobe products.
- Knowledge of Windows 10/11 and iOS/Android devices.
- Expertise in Microsoft 365 user management.
- Basic Active Directory user management.
- Familiarity with VOIP phone systems.
- Basic networking troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and documentation abilities.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with Google Workspace Suite.
- Experience with UniFi networking equipment.
- Experience with 3CX phone systems.
- Any experience with Syncro RMM, Comet Backup, Huntress, or Avanan.
Location:
Work will be mostly in a client office in (Dyer, IN), on-site at other client locations (throughout Chicagoland Area), and occasionally remote.
