While AJD Tech was officially founded in 2016, its origins trace back even further. Al Dykshorn had been assisting small businesses on the side for several years, all while accumulating nearly two decades of experience in corporate IT departments in Chicago and NW Indiana. His roles included supporting a small regional dial-up internet provider, working with major downtown Chicago law firms, and spending 13 years at NW Indiana’s largest healthcare system. Over the years, he transitioned from help desk support to security analyst to systems engineer. Throughout this journey, Al honed a diverse skill set and cultivated a robust professional network of top IT experts.

With an entrepreneurial spirit and a long-standing dream of starting his own venture, Al officially established AJD Tech LLC in July 2016. Initially serving a couple of existing clients, the business rapidly expanded to include new clients, such as construction contractors, law firms, and local private schools.
